Gentle Spine Waves | from Unit 1, Comfort Your S-I Joints Lawrence Gold

This movement pattern teaches a kind of control that allows an unusually-complete state of relaxation of the back/spinal musculature.

We use it, along with the other Unit 1 exercise, Sidelying Sacral Self-correction, as preparation for the other exercises of the program to “unlock” the situation before introducing changes of muscle/movement memory that retrain your entire movement system to be compatible with a centered sacrum. It’s a preparatory movement.

Expect to feel a relaxation, flattening and lengthening of your back after the second practice session, or so.
